World Education Accreditation Council (WEAC)

ABOUT

WEAC is an international quality assurance council dedicated for the online education sector globally. WEAC works to improve quality assurance standards of organizations all over the world, especially those providing online education.

Accreditation is the independent evaluation of conformity assessment bodies against recognised standards to ensure their impartiality and competence. Through the application of national and international standards, procurers and consumers can have confidence in the calibration and test results, inspection reports and certifications provided.

Accreditation bodies are established in many countries with the primary purpose of ensuring that conformity assessment bodies are subject to oversight by an authoritative body.

Accreditation bodies, which have been evaluated by peers as competent, sign arrangements that enhance the acceptance of products and services across national borders, thereby creating a framework to support international trade through the removal of technical barriers.

To be listed as an accredited institution by WEAC, a higher education entity (e.g. University) must be listed in at least one of the following recognised international accrediting agencies, and undergo a rigorous evaluation by its own team of experts.

WEAC provides international accreditation to the education providers to assure stakeholders that the educational program, policies and procedures of the institute, university and school are up to the international standards of quality. WEAC's International Accreditation represents an education provider's commitment to delivering quality which is on a par with the global standards. It assures the stakeholders that their degrees& credits will have increased acceptability around the world.

WEAC ignites a standard of excellence with an accreditation by evaluating aspects of leadership, strategic planning, relationships with stakeholders, quality of academic programs, faculty credentials, and educational support. WEAC assesses whether business programs offer a rigorous educational experience and commitment to continuous quality improvement, prior to granting them accreditation.
